• A re-elected McGowan Labor Government will provide $500,000 towards a major upgrade of the Rickman Delawney Reserve in Balcatta
• The $1 million project will be delivered in partnership with the City of Stirling
• Upgrade will include community bbq’s, water fountains and park bench seating

Rickman Delawney Reserve in Balcatta will receive a major upgrade following a $500,000 funding boost from a re-elected McGowan Labor Government

Premier Mark McGowan joined me to make the announcement to a crowd of several hundred local residents on the weekend.

The $1 million project will be delivered in partnership with the City of Stirling, and was instigated by the late local Ward Councillor Andrew Guilfoyle.

The project, which is subject to community consultation, will include:

• A path network to provide a better connection between the surrounding neighbourhood, Vasto Place community groups, and MYVISTA Retirement Village and Aged Care. 
• Amenity upgrades including community BBQs, water fountains, and park bench seating.
• Upgrades to recreational facilities including playgrounds, tennis and basketball courts and change rooms.

I am proud to be a part of the McGowan Labor Government that is delivering for our local community.

It has been great to see how many people are using the McGowan Labor Government funded upgrades to Robinson Reserve in Tuart Hill. I hope it will be the same here at Rickman Delawney Reserve.

Having worked alongside Councillor Guilfoyle for a number of years, I am proud to be able to support and add to this project.

This is a fantastic project for Balcatta and will help keep the community strong, fit and healthy.
